Ever wondered how people dyed yarn before craft stores existed? Come find out!
In this unique workshop, we'll head out on a guided walk around town to discover common wild plants that can be used to create beautiful natural dyes. Along the way, you'll learn how to identify dye plants and gain a new appreciation for the colorful possibilities growing all around us.
After our walk, we'll return to Cozy Chaos Craft Co. to transform our foraged finds into natural dye baths and dye a batch of yarn together.
The best part? Natural dyeing is wonderfully unpredictable. Every plant, every season, and every dye pot creates something a little different. Will your skein be golden, mossy green, warm peach, or something completely unexpected? That's part of the adventure!
Your hand-dyed skein will need a little time to finish processing and dry, so you'll be able to pick it up a few days after class.

- Includes: One skein of naturally dyed yarn, a take-home guide to common dye plants, and all materials.
Please Note: This class includes a moderate amount of walking on sidewalks and around town, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.

Our classes are intended for adults (18+). Teens are welcome to attend when registered and accompanied by an adult.
What is your cancellation policy?
Due to limited space and advance material prep, class fees are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, please contact us — we’re happy to help when possible.
What if a class is cancelled by Cozy Chaos Craft Co.?
In the rare event we need to cancel a class, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to transfer your registration to a future class.
